I can't help but see faulty logic in 'extreme #1 sucks, so be more like extreme #2, which also sucks.' A line segment has two extremes, a triangle three, and a circle infinitely many. Life is far more complex than all of them. There are many, many directions you can go. 'Being part of beauty' can be what you do *with* your life, there's no need at all to sacrifice your life to attain it.
