Things that deserve their own post but probably won't get one:
  • Girlyman at Jammin' Java
  • Reconnecting with [livejournal.com profile] zaph after twelve years
  • Dar Williams at the Birchmere (she played the fish song! And also two new songs, and uttered the words "working on my seventh studio album")
  • Gingerbread pancakes (sogood but very very thick)
  • Salmon melts (like tuna melts but with tasty salmons instead)
  • Still having close to $100 worth of credit at Richard McKay, after spending several hours there with [livejournal.com profile] uilos
  • The first few episodes of Due South, with Paul "Geoffrey Tenant" Gross ("That's the last time he fishes over the limit!")
  • Richard Shindell at Jammin' Java, followed by dessert at Amphora, with [livejournal.com profile] elf
  • Getting stretches from [livejournal.com profile] ancientsong to correct the tightness and hurting I've had in my shoulder for, oh, months now

Supposing I were to throw another reading, and it were to be on either the first or the eighth of December. Interested? Coming? One date better than the other for you?

First, you're welcome. Glad I could help. Keep up the stretches and the rest of the stuff and I have a feeling you'll be fine.

Second, wahhhh, I can't make either of those dates for a reading. Someday I will, I promise but December is a really big gig month so I'm busy pretty much every day/evening of every weekend.

As for Dar, did she sing the christians and the pagans? I LOVE that song and am sorry that I missed her.

Yup, she played it Saturday. She only repeated The One Who Knows, Mercy of the Fallen, February, and When I Was a Boy (in that order).

Hm, might be interested. [livejournal.com profile] red_lynx and I have office dinners both days. The first's is during the middle of the day, the eighth's is at night.

Thank you. Just for that, I'll not hold you responsible for this one.

I'd be interested in doing the reading, assuming I have time then (which I hope to). December 8th would be better for me, since I already promised people that I'd do stuff on Dec 1 if I have time, and I'd definitely not have time for both that and the reading (even assuming they don't conflict).

On a note more related to the first bit, I have some random free iTunes stuff, and I was thinking about maybe getting some Dar Williams stuff w/ it. My favorite things I've heard by her so far are probably "That Was Pompeii", "Wilder Than Her", "As Cool As I Am", "February", in roughly that order. Any recommendations, either in terms of other songs, or albums (eg, "Mortal City" vs that live album vs "What Do You Hear In These Sounds" vs something else)?

Interested in either. 8th possibly more likely for actual attendance. Partly depends on travel.

Belay that, 1st now better for me. I've been asked to host a Soup and Sing the 8th, though I won't if that would conflict with your reading.
