Once tagged by this entry, write a blog entry of some kind with six random facts about yourself. Then pick six of your friends and tag them.

  1. I can juggle, but I can't stand on my hands.
  2. My commute got /shorter/ when I moved from Blacksburg to northern Virginia.
  3. The two CDs I've owned the longest are R.E.M's _Automatic For the People_ and the Gin Blossoms' _New Miserable Experience_.
  4. Life in a house with no cats is quiet and sad.
  5. Thanks to Sellars & Yeatman and the Reduced Shakespeare Company, I can name the monarchs of England from the Plantagenets up to the Glorious Revolution ("England ruled by an orange").
  6. I hate shaving, but I hate the idea of having to maintain a beard even more.

Tag to, um, [livejournal.com profile] uilos, [livejournal.com profile] silmaril, [livejournal.com profile] salzara_tirwen, [livejournal.com profile] nixve, [livejournal.com profile] narquelion, and [livejournal.com profile] faeriefyre.

Speaking of whom, from [livejournal.com profile] faeriefyre.

1) If moving expenses were all covered, would you move overseas to pursue your career? If yes, where would you want to go?

In a heartbeat. I've not looked much into places specifically overseas, though. The British Isles look gorgeous, and I'd probably be happy most places in Europe. Australia's out for a number of reasons; ditto much of South America. Vancouver's not exactly overseas but it's also an option.

2) What is your dream job and why?

Full-time fiction writer would be nice but I'm not sure I can handle it. Ditto being a playwright. Anything where I can set my own hours and not have to twitch when someone walks up behind me would be ideal . . . but I fear the uncertain paychecks and the lack of health insurance that comes with being a freelancer. So, that's a long-winded way of saying "Beats me but this ain't it."

3) Would you ever run a marathon?

Unlikely. That takes some serious drive. I like running, but I don't like it /that/ much.

4) What is the best RPG campaign that you have participated in?

As a player, [livejournal.com profile] sir_alf's Blacksburg Cyberpunk game. As a GM, I'm happiest with my last Amber campaign. I take particular pride in having been given the chance to end it with one of the characters phoning home to say "I'm at Corwin's Pattern . . . or what's left of it, anyway."

5) Most recent dream?

Being deep in discussion with [livejournal.com profile] sir_alf about how many discs were in the first Animaniacs DVD collection. I think we settled on "eight." (Amazon says five, so, close.)

Leave a comment, get five questions, post this to your own journal, yadda yadda.

My commute got longer moving to Houston, but only because I used to work from home. To make my commute any shorter now I'd need gills. Or a Jet-Ski. Still trying to convince work of that one. "What if there's an emergency? I can drive here in four minutes, or Jet-Ski here in thirty seconds! That's an eight-fold improvement!"

Question me if you want.
