In theory, my DSL service is activated as of today.

In theory, I've had basic phone service at my apartment since last Monday.

In practice I have no dial tone.

Verizon insists that everything is fine up to the point where it enters the apartment. The maintenance guys claim there are no problems inside the apartment.

Kill kill kill.

On the other hand I had an extraordinarily good and busy weekend, and got to spend time with both [livejournal.com profile] uilos and [livejournal.com profile] nixve.

huh. I had that same experience with Verizon and dsl... BACK IN 2000! and at the time i consoled myself that they'd work it all out & that really it was about having just merged and been rebranded as Verizon... I do remember that they eventually found a solution but it took me most of a couple months. :(

obviously there is a "communication problem." A failure to communicate, if you will.
