I should probably write about candy-making, gaming, and the joys of a grey and rainy Xmas. Instead I shall be a meme-sheep.

As the Nielsen Haydens observe, it's not the four best, or the four most important; just four.

Four jobs you’ve had in your life: Furniture counter ('scuse me, 'fixed-asset auditor'); short-order pasta cook; envelope stuffer; corporate crisis hotline staffer.

Four movies you could watch over and over: Heat; Equilibrium; Grosse Pointe Blank; The Boxer.

Four places you’ve lived: Fayettehell, NC; Fürth, Germany; Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; Fairfax, VA.

Four TV shows you love to watch: Firefly; The Muppet Show; The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. That's about it. Update: Okay, Futurama's pretty good too.

Four places you’ve been on vacation: Atlanta, GA; Philmont Scout Ranch, NM; Key West, FL; Grandfather Mountain, NC.

Four websites you visit daily: Indeed do many things come to pass; BoardGameGeek; Pandagon; Making Light.

Four of your favorite foods: Vanilla bean cheesecake; cajun chicken alfredo from Zeppoli's; pancakes; french toast.

Four places you’d rather be: Blacksburg; my own apartment in the DC area; London; Vancouver.

Four books you ought to reread: Steven Brust, Agyar; Raphael Carter, The Fortunate Fall; Norton Juster, The Phantom Tollbooth; Andy Runton, Owly: The Way Home / The Bittersweet Summer.

That was season 4 of Futurama. There's tons more of it where that came from (though I swear "Jurassic Bark" from that season is my absolute favorite of the entire series - only cartoon that's ever made me tear up). I love its brand of humor.
