"You threaten me? With what?"

"With your name, Yevaud."

(Articles here and here. Okay, so if it's going to be based on Farthest Shore then that's Orm Embar and Lebannen, not Yevaud and Ged. Whatever.)

[livejournal.com profile] ursulav tangentially discusses The Lion, the Witch, and the Ugly ("a poncho-clad Lion with No Name" et cetera) in the course of a tale of used bookstores. (I'm still working on 'The Narnia Song.' I've not forgotten it; these things just take time.)

Crooked Timber has had an absolutely wonderful seminar on Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, comprising several articles by CT writers and a final response by Susanna. Very cool.

Jen emailed me within fifteen minutes of getting my final paper saying "Thanks, you've got an A for the semester," and Dr Moss wrote on Friday that he's put in the grade-change paperwork, so all that's left is the grade for %&$ Design Lab. Well, that and the paperwork.
