Anyone interested in a trip to Green Valley Book Fair on Satyrday should let me and/or uilos know. It'll be in the afternoon since I work 'til fourish [though I can probably take off early], but there'll be time for at least a couple hours of wandering around and finding cool cheap books.

I can assume that the event will be much lower key than the Swindon Booktastic closing-down sale.

So far I haven't been able to "get into" the second Thursday Next novel. Either it is not as good as the first or the lack of a library due date eliminates the impetus to finish reading the book.

I think that while it may be as good, the concepts aren't bright and shiny and new as in the first one, making it a little less interesting. I enjoyed all three of them, but the big main plot point still isn't getting much dealt with (grumble, grumble, stop playing with your ideas Fforde and advance the plot already). On the other hand, the Pickwick the do-do continues to be a laugh riot.
