I am currently 41 pages into Gene Wolfe's novel There Are Doors. In that span, I've had two moments where I had to stop reading and say "Oh!" in a surprised/delighted voice, because I understood some small thing that he was doing. Now I know I'll have to reread The Book of the New Sun, and pay attention this time. Wolfe, I suspect, really is just that cool.

[Yeah, I'm way behind on my booklog. I'm catching up, slowly.]

BAH!

I finally started reading "David Copperfield" 15 years after I bought it. I feel your pain about catching up on reading.

A lot of the Gene Wolfe books that you ordered were on the missed returns list, but since they had just come in a few days ago, I left them there for you.
