That's what my new (currently unassembled) frame does. They manage to do that by basically not putting any sort of way to attach a footboard, leaving the foot ends of the frame flat, and letting the queensize mattress hang over the end of the frame.

For some reason the boxspring has specs for a twin, full, queen, and (I think) king on a tag... full is 54"x75", queen is 60"x80".

This wouldn't have been a real problem except that the frame I /was/ using had a headboard, a footboard, and two rails that hook into both, with hook-slots for a full & queen. So we got the rails scooted out, tried to put the queen boxspring in, realised it was about 4-5" too long, and cursed mightily.
