A bar of iridium. "Included are a bunch of pictures, a few movies, a table, 200,000 KeV and several things I have never done before." Also includes the phrase "three batsh!t instane Russians" and a link to the guy's accidental ingesting of iridium. I'm fairly certain that this isn't the same guy who drank liquid nitrogen, but I found all the links at about the same time. [Thanks to bOING bOING, truly a directory of wonderful things.]

Hitherby Dragons, random fiction snippets by the wondrous R. Sean Borgstrom [of Nobilis fame], isn't nearly as incomprehensible as I first thought when I stumbled upon it many moons ago. Just weird.

The Bursar's office claims my student loans will be deposited in my bank account sometime tomorrow, which means I can finally pay off some of my outstanding debts, such as those to [livejournal.com profile] uilos, [livejournal.com profile] rubinpdf, and [livejournal.com profile] mrstickman. 'Bout time, too.

And, from Dana Blankenhorn, a Stephen Sondheim tribute to the US Olympic basketball team:
Don't play defense in America
Can't hit the 3 in America
Get by on rep in America
Puerto Rico beat America.
