Bread and circuses

The Story of Bread: This is far too funny. I laughed out loud for the five minutes or so it took me to read it.
Origins. I laughed, I cried, I fell down, it changed my life. (Bonus points to people who recognise that and aren't
vond.) Overall, good. Met up with
chaosnymph,
rikchik[1],
sirleebutler,
subbes,
the_radix,
ts52,
ubiquity, and
zyxwvut, plus a bunch of the LJless. Sadly missing from last year were
cthulhia,
elphie,
mnemex,
prog,
queue, and Zarf. Real update coming tomorrow, as today was decreed to be a Vacation.
[1] I'm assuming that rikchik == dmm. Can someone confirm or deny?

Date: 2003-07-02 02:27 pm (UTC)I bow to your superior knowledge of Zarfness, and humbly plead that you divulge this information. (Although if you're talking about the RSS feed of LFLR, I recognise it by name.)
Saw no one :(
Date: 2003-07-02 12:13 pm (UTC)If it's anything like this year, I'll be easy to find. Just look for the geek trapped behind a laptop in the WizKids tournament booth 'cause he accidentally revealed that he knew databases pretty well. :)

Date: 2003-07-02 12:28 pm (UTC)If you saw person wearing chainmail dress over corset, it might have been me.
Re: Saw no one :(
Date: 2003-07-02 01:54 pm (UTC)Saw chainmail three times: once on a guy, once in a loose web worn as an overdress, and once as a bikini top; so I doubt those you.
I'm sorry I didn't get to go by Looney Labs, though. We need the new version of Fluxx.
Re: Saw no one :(
Date: 2003-07-02 02:30 pm (UTC)Fluxx 3.0 is a substantial improvement on 2.1. The bonuses are actually useful now, for one thing, and the game just seems to go a lot smoother. (Except for the horrible hurting that is X=X+1 and the increased randomness that is First Card Random.)
