It's ice-ing again. Started as sleet, turned to snow by the time I came back from dropping off books for K. Now I think it's back to the rattle of sleet.

Five classes this semester. I'm done done done with two of them; no final for Performance Lab, and took the Stage & Lighting Tech final at SEVEN FREAKIN' FORTY-FIVE Friday morning. I think I did pretty well on it, too; probably around 85%. Probably a high B or low A for the year. I am happy. I also turned in my Beckett paper Friday, so Script Analysis is basically done; I still have to show up for class on Monday during final time, but it won't be anything serious, just getting the finals back and evaluations and such. So. . . I fear the Geography final on Monday at SEVEN FREAKIN' FORTY-FIVE in the morning, and I fear the Le Guin paper that is currently engaged in kicking my ass. And I need to finish up the Shakespeare paper from spring before the semester completely ends. It'll be a busy week.

My Xmas presents are all wrapped. Go me. And, despite my inability to get to the Post Office in a timely fashion, I am so not spending $50 to mail them to Arkansas this year.

I think that taking another fiction class in spring will be good for me. I don't want to associate writing solely with papers, and I'm kind of afraid that that's what I've been doing, since my LJ entries have been sparse of late. And while I enjoy writing short (4-6 page) papers, anything requiring much more focus and forethought really turns me off. The life of a grad student is clearly not for me. *sigh* Scratch one more career choice.
(Fiction writing, the way I've been doing it, doesn't require so much forethought. I just sit down, find a situation or a couple of characters, and start writing, and plan ahead only as far as absolutely necessary.)

bleh.

Congratulations to GWB for capturing a man who had nothing to do with the terrorist attacks. Any chance of getting back to the 'real' threat? No? How about rebuilding the infrastructure in Afghanistan? No money in it? Just thought I'd ask.

Remember Osama? This is a war about Osama. . .
