So, hey. Once Upon a Time in Mexico.

Good movie, overall. Less blow-things-up and more plot development than Desperado. Although it's still not something you go to for the plot in any case... it's overcomplicated and occasionally trips over itself. The gunfights are. . . I don't know, a little less impressive than Desperado. They're more focused, but I didn't think they were quite as cool. (The guitar cases continue to rock my world, as does Antonio Banderas with his guitar in the opening scene.)

Johnny Depp is brilliant. Of course. After a Certain Incident involving a drill he becomes (as far as I'm concerned) the star of the show, and the heck with the guy with the guitar case full of guns. (Why has no one made a Crow movie with Johnny Depp?) Those of you still busy swooning over him from Pirates (I'm looking at you and you especially) should go see this immediately. Like, now. (It may be a bit squicky for you; I have no idea where your tolerance for such things is these days.)

One of the mariachi is Enrique Iglesias. I find this highly amusing.

Invisifest today, which is much like a Game Day only in McBride instead of Squires and there are other things going on at the same time. Played some Mag-Blast, some War & Sheep, some Fluxx, some Diceland. Most of a game of Puerto Rico. Speaking of, people who play PR should check out the strategy articles on BoardGameGeek. Especially the recent articles by Alexfrog and the two "Large Warehouse of PR Knowledge" articles. Good stuff there.

Had fun, overall. Tired now, and I still need to read and write. Oh well. That's what tomorrow and Monday are for.

Yeah. That sounds about right.
