Unfortunately I didn't get any work done on Shakespeare. Fortunately I managed to squeeze a couple more pages out of Gawain, so that can serve as my 6-8 page paper for MedLit. I just need to write up a conclusion tomorrow morning and print that sucker, and I'll be halfway done with the MedLit writing and a quarter of the way done overall.
I'm still behind, naturally. I'd like to have done at least another five hundred words by now. But depending on how badly Shakespeare kicks my butt this is doable.
(Those of you who are professional writers are doubtless shaking your heads in disgust at my inability to write any faster. With Gawain the words just weren't coming, and I kept having to move individual paragraphs around to make them fit properly. The rest of it will probably still take longer than it ought, though, what with the research and the text-referencing and the reading over the Shakespeare plays several times. Stupid romances.)
Other than that there wasn't really a weekend. Friday night I worked, Satyrday night I played a game of Puerto Rico (lost, which is good; means I don't actually know everything about the game) and watched the writer/director's commentary on Equilibrium with E. (Very cool. The guy obviously loves the movie, and was quite happy to get to explain some of the stuff he'd done, although a lot of his explanations ended with "And that would have been so much cooler if we'd had more time/money.") Today I cleaned a bit, and went to the Xiansburg Macado's with E & Z. The decor is, creepily, nigh-identical to the one in B-burg. It's maybe half the size, though.
Tomorrow I take Glyndwr down to Long Shop to get the death rattle looked at. Ugh. Here's hoping it runs me less than two hundred.
