Dec. 17th, 2001 09:24 amand lo, the weekend occurred, as weekends are wont to do. friday... i forget. must not have been much. oh yes-- friday i wrote bits of my Big Ass Paper and played Rayman 2. got through the bit that i never managed to get through on the PC version. 'twas cool.
satyrday nathan and emily and i went to roanoke to buy Fellowship tickets (3:15 on Wednesday). olive garden lunch... mmm. wandered around Valley View mall a bit. then went to the Shadowlake winter party, which was quite cool. they'll all be pretty good neighbors, i think. then onto That Apartment's xmas party, which was neat. electronic talking Catchphrase is ridiculously difficult.
sunday i finished the Big Ass Paper around four, and watched nathan playing Sega GT for awhile. played ChuChu Rocket, which is a very frightening game of trying to get space mice into rocketships while avoiding the space cats. it's as odd as it sounds. then we went to andy and dave's xmas party, which was cool. then home. gave emily a copy of Ta Yu, or if you prefer, the Very Pretty But Less Clever Pipe Game.
the main reason i don't advocate waiting 'til xmas to open presents is that you don't get to see people's immediate reaction to what you give them, which is a lot of the fun. <shrug> your mileage may vary.
two days and six hours 'til Fellowship.
