1. Back from Origins.
2. Late for work because we lost power at least twice last night.
3. Way the heck behind on my email.
4. Tired of work already.

More through the course of the day.

We rolled into Columbus around midafternoon on Wednesday. After the expected badge screw-ups, we helped the Looneys put the booth together, and then had dinner and hung around doing nothing for awhile. Wednesday was kind of a nothing day.
Thursday we got the booth and the Lab (the gaming area) all ready to go. I ran my first of five Fluxx qualifier rounds, which went well considering it had been a year since I'd done anything like this. Spent too much money in the dealers' room, especially considering it's only THURSDAY and I'm there for three more days.
Thursday night Nathan and I tried to play in one of Sandy Antunes's LARPs, but failed because we were the only ones to show up. So we sat around and talked to Sandy for an hour or so, which was pretty cool.
Came back to the Lab afterwards and hung around for a bit… I probably played some Zendo and maybe some other Icehouse games as well. Around eleven or so Emily decided that we were all going to play Werewolf, so we did. Note that this isn't the White Wolf/WoD roleplaying game, but rather a game of suspicion, mob rule, and lynching people. I highly recommend it if you can get together nine or so people. So we played three games of Werewolf. The first game was total chaos, with complete mob rule… the werewolves won handily. The second game was much better. I was a werewolf, and managed to win through a combination of never voting to lynch any of the villagers and getting two of the more vocal players to believe I was a villager. (Having Emily insist that I couldn't possibly be a werewolf because I hadn't killed her yet didn't hurt either. :) So that was fun. The third game I "got" to be moderator, so it wasn't as fun. By the time that was over it was 2:30 in the morning, so we went home and crashed until tomorrow.

"Sequences are only interesting until a pattern is discerned."

Discuss.

Forgot about Thursday night's giant Icehouse game. Mike Sugarbaker brought his 8x foam pieces again this year, and we played a couple games of Giant Icehouse out in the walkway. Then we played tag-team Giant Icehouse, with the stashes on the balcony and one team member dropping pieces down to the other, who would send unwanted pieces back via escalator. Quite cool. And I think I won one of those games. I don't remember.

Just over fifty in six months. Not bad, but not as good as I'd prefer. :)
Not being able to read on the way to work is partly responsible, I think.

Tim Powers could have written _American Gods_, but it wouldn't have been the same. I was happy with it. And with Mr. Wednesday.
