So I got Civilization II reinstalled on my machine on Satyrday, and spend most of Sunday and part of last night playing it. A nice, calm, addictive game.

Today I went to Waldenbooks in the mall and picked up Issola, by Steven Brust, and American Gods, by Neil Gaiman.

Then I wandered into Software Etc for no real reason, and saw that they had a copy of Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri Planetary Pack, which includes the OOP expansion. So I picked that up as well.

Now I have too many incredibly cool things, all clamoring for my attention. It may be awhile before I finish _The Sword of Shannara_.

And Origins is next weekend, so I'll have games to read through and maybe even play if I get lucky...

if you get the chance, check out MC Hawking. it's old (1994?) but hilarious. especially "entropy" and "f the creationists."

"You down with entropy?"
"Yeah, you know me!"

Update
Like the fool that I am, it never occurred to me to check for weblinks. Try here. (Thanks Scott!)

I hadn't noticed when I picked it up, but my copy of _American Gods_ is "a signed first edition, limited to 5000 copies."

Wow. *happy dance*
