Eighty-one Guys, All Of Them That Guy: "Well, be glad you live in the wrong part of the country for Yes, In Fact I Did Kill That Myself Guy."

Tuesday we packed up the books. Not nearly as difficult as I'd been fearing. Thirty-four boxes all told. This is about what it was last year when we packed, leading me to wonder exactly how we managed to fit them all on the shelves when we lived in Knollwood. Maybe they just got packed more efficiently this time. Afterwards we + Z went to visit Maureen (J.'s g/f) in the hospital, where she's recuperating from having her gall bladder removed. Then we played some MonkeyBall and watched E play Columns for over an hour. Eventually K showed up and we watched Labyrinth. What an incredibly fun movie. It's one of the few that I've definitely gotten my money's worth out of owning. Watching Inside the Labyrinth was also a treat. "...Then I tried directing chickens."

Today was slow. E and I went and helped K and her mother get all of K's stuff into their cars. Then slacked. Wandered over to the Tech Bookstore book sale, picked up a few books. One was a children's book about writing children's books, called Author. Bloody brilliant. "Eventually, I became a teacher. I discovered that teachers do not sleep under their desks and live on milk and crackers." Packed some misc stuff. Finished Heechee Rendezvous by Frederik Pohl, finally.

Tomorrow I have to actually get on campus to do force-adding for Theatre classes. I also have to actually finish packing. (Well, I don't have to, but I'd like to be as close to done as possible, so that Friday I can either goof off or throw all the random stuff I missed into boxes.) Moving is on Satyrday, starting probably around nineish over here. There will be donuts and orange juice. Current plan is to take one trip of just furniture, get that all in the right place, then one trip of boxes etc so that they can be put in front of the appropriate furniture.
