Jaysus. Here's hoping they're cheaper elsewhere online.

(Oh, much better. Most places are asking less than $40.)

Try contacting Charge It Toner Company over in C-Burg. THey will do a Recharged toner for like $35 and they do a pretty good job. They do require you to give them the spent cartridge in return so they can them refill again.

*boggles* For what kind of printer?

I'm much more used to seeing $30-$50 for most toner cartridges, including color laser.. though those take four. :)

Ten-year-old HP (LaserJet IIIP). But that was the price direct from HP. People have told me in the past to never buy toner from printer manufacturers, and now I know why... sheesh.

Though I did experience the flip side of that coin with my first printer. Bought an off-brand cartridge for it, and ended up having the ink completely gum up.... after which, that printer (a Canon) only got name-brand ink.

I've generally been advised that OEM--though not necessarily direct from the mfr--or factory-refurbished parts are a better idea than remanufactured/refilled by 3rd parties, especially with ink cartridges.
