Middle-earth certainly is a long time ago and why couldn't it be in 'a galaxy far, far away?' Nothing said it's our earth.' He then broke down and started crying."
Played games at Dave&Kayla's (shock! amazement!) on Wednesday. The Survivor card game is surprisingly ... "good" isn't quite the right word. "Playable," maybe. Decent. Non-lame. (Hearing about "the Survivor game" always makes me think of the stupid strategy game in Return to Zork.)
I got a Sigmund Freud action figure in the mail from my cousin Alice, and a box of transparent colored plastic monkeys from my cousin Paul, thus lending credence to my belief that Susan and her brood are the coolest people in my extended family. (Looking at the box, it only has 100 monkeys. So clearly I need another box. And I bet they're less than a nickel apiece, too. Damn cheap monkeys.)
Speaking of monkeys, I still haven't gotten around to picking up Terra Primate, the RPG of intelligent apes.
Finished (one-third of) Eternal Darkness yesterday. Very cool. Very dark. And there's an excellent reason why Maximillian Roivas ends up the way he does. (Max's ending and the bathtub were probably the creepiest moments in the game.)
