Leonard Cohen's original version of Hallelujah is at least as good as John Cale's cover (heard in the movie Shrek, but sadly not the soundtrack).

Heh. I am also amused. This is one of the cooler dippy online quizzes I've seen. I have some issues with some of the choices; some of them I don't know myself well enough to say, and, well, I look for enlightenment by studying the facts. But overall it's pretty good.

(And the only information I can find online says that Wainwright stole the arrangement from Cale; since Wainwright appears to have sprung into being in 1998 and Cale's version dates from at least '91, this seems more likely.)
