*sigh* The pushing-down thing is one of the two features of my beat-to-hell Discman that makes me not want to get rid of it. It's just so cool. And convenient when you're doing 75 and trying to switch between Sarah McLachlan and Nine Inch Nails while not slamming into the Peterbilt next to you.

I'm a big fan of ED's combat system. The targeting of enemies is occasionally funky, but as you say, the ability to lop off limbs (and heads!) more than makes up for it. I'm going to get pissed off next time I cast a healing spell and chop off the top half of my torso, though.
