Jun. 22nd, 2002 10:06 amso... so vond is gone.
trying to work up emotion, and failing. milbrat syndrome. vond-- it's not that i don't miss you, it's that i know i'll run into you again. i am *very* glad i managed to get you into the amber game, and ending up so similar to how we started (i.e. that game in owens) *does* give it all a nice sense of closure.
the same sort of thing happened when jonathan left, or stephen. i miss them, because they were wonderful people. but at the same time, they've got their own lives to lead, and those lives don't involve bleaksburg. and i know i'll see them again, and (like when stephen showed up for t-con) the time between will just... fall away, like it never was.
(i've had almost no close female friends since i went fast-food. this creeps me out a bit.)
in any event, enjoy japan. and POST occasionally, dammit. :)

Date: 2002-06-23 11:22 pm (UTC)I listened to Fragments in the car on one of the trips to NoVa - it's still good even now.
As a note, the Japanese don't really have a phrase for "I'll miss you" - they consider it better left unsaid.
