so then i decided, 'hey, i'm not doing anything else of use, why don't i write some?'

i survived my parents' impromptu visit on sunday, at which basically nothing was done. except that they fed us lunch at macado's, which was okay. and i have (almost) enough money to survive the coming month or so on. whee.

i am now the proud owner of a video game console. yup, it's a dreamcast. obsolete (adj.): reliable, stable, functional. support trailing-edge technology!

got grades back. b in modern drama (not too sure what i did; worse on both the last paper *and* the final than i'd expected, i think) and b+ in renlit (about what i'd expected). i got an A on my Six Degrees of Francis Bacon paper... go me. this six-weeks i'm taking the front half of Shakespeare (up to 1600), which consists of three histories (two Richards and Henry IV i) plus Twelfth Night, Titus Andronicus (again), and Romeo and Juliet. the only ones of those i'm unfamiliar with are Richard II and Henry. woo hoo. grades seem to be based primarily on a mid-term, a final, and a 10-page paper, which is longer than anything i've had to write thus far... we'll see how that goes.

other than that... i've been playing Toy Commander (a game in which you control various toy vehicles and drive them around your house... quite cool) and Industrial Spy (a weird tactical game, in which you direct four agents to run around and steal things). reading some stackpole. watching emily pack. not much else.

good games

you want soul calibur and soul calibur, and maybe tony hawk. we are currently playing sega bass fishing (suks, but we searched for jazz fish and found you). if you look around, there are 13 year olds seeling 15 dup'ed games for $50 or less. a good deal.
