the ugly pond next door to formerly Sunrise House is actually rather pretty when it's frozen over.

just finished Max Payne. pretty good, although the final gunfight was exceptionally irritating. i'm a bit disappointed that they took the norse mythos names, but not really much else (although mr woden _did_ have an eyepatch), but that comes of having read _american gods_ and stephen donaldson's _gap_ series too much. all in all, enjoyable and recommended. plus, there will be more payne eventually.

now, on to something less visceral. antaeus rising, maybe.

I highly recommend Grand Theft Auto III. I will be purchasing this before I move in with you, because I love it and I want to marry it and have 10,000 of its babies. It opened up a whole new world of gratuitous violence to me.

yes, but it's rather visceral, still. twitchy, blood-everywhere kind of thing. although i may be back in the mood for that sort of thing by the time you move in.
