thanksgiving. travel. stuff.
spent thanksgiving with emily's family, which was kinda neat. turkey and gravy and rolls and little egg-roll things with shrimp and dumplings with fish... very odd. but good.
saw K-PAX, which was pretty good, although i felt like it wimped out by not leaving open the question of whether Prot was really an alien.
_planet of the apes_ was much lamer the second time. oh well.
came home, partied at dave&kayla's, came home, crashed.
parents came up on sunday. we did lunch and i took them around shadowlake (where we're thinking about buying a house). they seemed favorably impressed. we determined that a duplex is just far too small for our needs, so we decided we want a house with a basement. then emily and adam and nathan and i sat down and scribbled out some plans. the current plan calls for a HUGE living room on the first floor, and a secondary family room on the basement. plus a largeish computer/sewing/whatever area upstairs. it's very cool. and probably very expensive.
got the scraping noise in my car fixed ($15) and got a tire replaced that was threatening to go ($40). i am happy. i think i'll be using this mechanic from now on.
and now i am at work. except i'm going home shortly, because i'm a bum.
