jazzfishso. despite being somewhat sick, emily and i went to see Iron Monkey in roanoke on friday. pretty good movie. silly. lots of wire-fu, lots of mook bowling. and a monkey. i like monkeys. then we came home and i slept for twelve hours.
sick in this case consists of sinus trouble, coughing, wooziness, and general exhaustion. and occasional non-sinus headaches, but i'm used to those and they might just be due to wearing my glasses all the time because i can't wear my contacts because of aforementioned sinus trouble.
satyrday was game day. very cool. played several games. vond stopped by, and we played Vinci, which is a very cool game that's sort of a combination of Civilization (the board game) and Risk, but much better than either, and finishes in under three hours. also did some more playtesting of my race game, which i think is almost done at this point. i am quite happy with it. then we came home and i slept for eleven hours.
i finally finished _Riven_ today. it was cool. no, i didn't go through and see all nine endings, although i got three or four of them. if you have any interest in adventure games, i highly recommend it.
