Yeah, I could, but then my feet would be slightly warmer but clammy. My feet sweat an awful lot, and socks only help so much.
Slippers, on the other hand, would be cool.

Yes, an Eagle Scout should know about combining wool oversocks with polypropylene undersocks.

I think he just wants to "wear sandals in the snow" like in the Sarah McLachlan song.

It's not really worth the effort just for going to work, though.
The real problem is that it gets ridiculously warm overnight, so I have to open the door to get it down to a reasonable temperature, which means that the rest of me is fine, but my feet are freezing. Maybe if I put some sort of windshield around the bottom of my desk...
And it's not even snowing yet. Although I got to scrape my car again today.

at least you thought to scrape your car. i just swiped the windshield with my wipers and drove off down the road looking through my slowly enlarging defost hole...
