Words are inadequate

Hm. Partly for me it's a matter of space: I'm moving into a 500sqft apartment, so space is quite limited. But there's also, mm ... I don't like Stuff, I guess. I am philosophically opposed to having things around me that just take up space, that I don't use and have basically neutral feelings towards. I dunno. I usually attribute that to growing up military and having a yard sale every couple of years before we moved, so we weren't moving as much stuff.
