Very little throws one off one's stride like an unexpected illness. Stupid sick.

E's been coughing and staring blankly for the past week. Thought I'd dodged it but Tuesday night I started having less and less brain. Today (well, last night) it's been sinuses dripping and coughing and all that fun stuff. So of course it's started raining again. Dragged self to urgent care; doc says it's viral; dragged self home.

This is not at all coherent; I'm noting it mostly as a reminder that I got sick again.

Stupid sick.

Absolutely. I can't stand the way tea with honey makes my mouth feel, but it does wonders for the coughing.

I used to talk about the fact that I hadn't been sick in 3 years (2004-2007). Those were good years.

E keeps going on about her amazing immune system, but the only times I've been sick in the last three years, it's been during or just after her illness. Hmpf.

Better this morning, but still definitely under the weather. Bleh. Just as well I didn't sign on for PL, I guess. (Which sounds like an AMAZING time, incidentally!)

I've also got the "coughing and staring blankly" crud. Gonna call the doc today because I do *not* need it becoming any worse.

Ugh. I hope your sick is more susceptible to treatment than mine is.

Rx for prednisone, azithromycin, and cheratussin cough syrup. Add tea (with lemon-infused honey) and toast (made from cinnamon-chip bread...nummmy) and that's me for the next couple of days.

That should work - it has in the past.
