Hm. Interesting. Suddenly being 'average' may have made me more emotionally needy as well. To the left, it also meant I had a shot in hell of getting those needs met. Which was a new and stunning thing for me. (Not, I hasten to add, that I took as much advantage of it as I could have, but eh.)

(And based on my experience with academics, the sooner that romance gets nipped in the bud the better.)
