My questions keep coming back to, if I'm going to crosspost things to LJ, and still follow my friends list on LJ, why not just use LJ? What does this buy me?

I'm sure there's something, because it seems like a lot of people are doing exactly this, and it's worth $6 to find out what that something is, so.
