Meanwhile, I'm trying to put more unnecessary words in my nano to get to 50k. :-/ This bugs me, since usually pruning and - is there a verb form of concise? - ing is half the fun.

Honestly, that's one of the two main reasons I've never done NaNo: I don't think the stories I have to tell at this point are that long. (The other reason being the more standard "oh god how can i possibly write that much for that long.")

Trimming? Ruthlessly editing? Shortening? (adding tasty tasty animal fat? mmmm shortening.)
