we interrupt this programme
Jun. 16th, 2009 06:17 pmFor the last couple days I've had in my head the voice of an elderly man, who speaks with the slightest of accents, saying, "Well. So far, so. . . far."
I'm almost dead certain this is from some movie fairy-tale but I have no idea, and it's driving me insane.
Help?

Date: 2009-06-17 01:35 pm (UTC)I think it's from the radio play of Anansi Boys. At least, the way the vowels slope in the voice I hear in my head is the same as the way Lenny Henry draws out "Fat Charlie."
This happens all the time. Usually I can remember well enough what it is my brain's making pop-culture references to.
