Thanksgiving makes for crappy birthdays. I know, those of you with New Year's Eve b-day have no sympathy, but at least you get a party on your day. Mine tends to be right around the time everyone's obligated to spend with family. So, no one around to hang out with, parties or such are basically a wash, and on top of that there's family obligations.

Today was about the best birthday I've had in well over a decade. Cupcakes and cinnamon creme pie, gaming with good friends, limited family exposure (two hours and outta there), all day with [livejournal.com profile] uilos, occasionally talking with [livejournal.com profile] nixve, and calls and messages and well-wishes from an awful lot of awesome people. You non-gender-specific guys are amazing.

Not that it counts, but I did think of you yesterday, hoping that your day wasn't full of suck. Sounds like the world was with you on your day. :)

So, happy birthday, old friend! (Emphasis on the OLD.)

You should party on your half birthday, if you feel the wish to do so. (I'm a day-after-christmas baby, so we always did that when I was growing up.)

Yay for good birthdays. :)

I'm glad you both had a great day. I'm horrible about sending greetings to people, but I did think about you all playing games when we were playing on the farm last night. :)

Why does 'cinnamon creme pie' sound like the best thing ever.

Happy continued birthday season! ;]
