jazzfishbut instead, i sat down and finished watching _dead poets society_ from when i'd started... count count count... at least three weeks ago.
migod. what a movie. i lack words to describe the effect this movie has on me. just a few changes and i could have lived it.
(no, not being in a prep school in the fifties. give me a break.)
anyone who thinks this movie is about neil should be shot. anyone who thinks this movie is about mr keating should be torn apart by wild dogs. this is todd anderson's story. neil and keating and charley and knox and cameron are all bits and pieces of todd's story.
the piece played over the closing scene is gorgeous. it may beat out most of _the usual suspects_ score as my favorite film score piece. i must find this music.
it's things like this film that sometimes make me think i want to teach.
