I just had to buy conditioner because my hair has completely freaked out from the chlorine in the pool (and there isn't even that much.)

Sunburn. I refuse to wear hats because they make me look dippy (except for my bowler, which isn't a summer hat), and, to quote an Abbott and Costello routine, "My toes are coming through my shoes! My elbows are coming through my coat!" "Your head is coming through your hair."

Sunscreen directly on the scalp sometimes works for me.

Yeah, but my hair gets pretty icky just from sweat. I'd rather not think about the greasy feeling that applying sunscreen would leave me with.
