A good weekend. Went to Liam and Tara's wedding on Satyrday; a post about the twitchiness that ceremonies and formal dinners and such things in general inspire in me is forthcoming and should not be taken to detract from the gorgeous setting, the cool ceremony, or the generally awesome people (hi [livejournal.com profile] elvenyukiryu!). If I had realised before we were right about to leave that the accomplished pianist was actually [livejournal.com profile] silmaril I would perhaps have conquered my unease enough to go over and say hello. Teach me to not read the whole program. So, hi! The music sounded great! [livejournal.com profile] uilos looked fantastic; since I'm no fan of complicated ruffly dresses I think I can say she looked better than the bride and not get shot.

Gaming on Sunday was also rather good. [livejournal.com profile] rbandrews and I finished the evening off with a dramatic reading of The Crazifaction Factor ("I am not spotting him eight hundred million Hindus. I call shenanigans"), in honor of Alan Keyes's declaration of his candidacy for president.

And now I'm off for a week in Seattle, arriving shortly before [livejournal.com profile] nixve and departing shortly before [livejournal.com profile] nixve. Like Mark Twain and Halley's Comet, only not as fatal. I hope.
