blue moving games
Mar. 20th, 2007 11:47 amAll this writing about other people is hard work. I'll get through to the rest of you as the days go on, though, no worries.
I have new glasses. They're rectangular. This means I now have peripheral vision, for the first time in about a year. It's not terribly /good/ peripheral vision since everything is still kind of warped (blame the ridiculously strong prescription for that one) but it's better than it was. "Instead of a big dark blur I see a big light blur."
The Blue Man concert two weekends ago was pretty good stuff. If you saw the tour for The Complex four (!) years ago, it's basically the same thing. There's some additional stage stuff going on, but they cut two songs ("White Rabbit" and "The Current") to make room for it. (Instead of "White Rabbit" they did another song for the 'tribute to rock legends' bit that was absolutely perfect and that I cannot for the life of me recall.) I preferred the original tour but I'm still glad I got to see this one. The opening act was a really wacky DJ/VJ named Mike Relm. He was pretty good but went on a bit long.
The day after that we moved
elf, in a surprisingly painless process. I credit the large number of people and the ongoing banter. Good times. Then off to Arlington for Board Gamers.
This past weekend we moved a couple of
uilos's friends out of a one-bedroom apartment into an unfinished house. Extra bonus scariness for the queen-sized mattress flying off the minivan and blocking two lanes on 66. I'm glad I wasn't the one right behind the van.
After that there was gaming at
uilos's place, wherein I actually saw
vvalkyri for the first time in two years (and who I'm rather sorry I didn't get to talk to more, but, well, finally finishing a game of Caylus with
elf ate my brain) and generally had a great deal of fun. And also cupcakes.
