jazzfish: A small grey Totoro, turning around. (Totoro)

  1. 9/22, afternoon. National Zoo.
  2. 9/23, afternoon. Arlington Board Gamers.
  3. 9/24, evening. Changeling.
  4. 9/29, 7 PM. Politics and Prose Bookstore and Coffeehouse in Northwest DC, for a reading and signing by Mr Gaiman, whose new story collection comes out next week. I'll be getting there by sixish if not before, probably grabbing an early dinner either nearby or picnicking.
  5. 9/30 10/1. Maryland Renaissance Faire, because there will be Baebes, and also [livejournal.com profile] jude.
  6. 10/2, 7 PM. The State Theatre in Falls Church, for a Gin Blossoms concert. Sushi at the nearby Maneki Neko beforehand. (tentative)
Hope to see you at any and all of those.

(And yes, I've already missed one deadline on my to-do list. Must be a real writer.)

(Speaking of which, the Making Light thread on Amazon opening up their reviews for auctorial response has some of the best comments I've read there, and that's saying a lot. "Of course, if you really wanted to get even with an author, the thing to do would be to register an account at Amazon under some version of his or her name, and then play out-of-control diva amongst the reviews." "How will they tell the person doing that from the real Harlan Ellison?")

My mental calendar is a cheap piece of crap. This is why I carry a paper pocket calendar to write things down in. :)

Opium is classy.

Disco occasionally makes a comeback.

Mullets are just awful.

Please strongly consider going to GB night! I would like to actually hang out with you not online.

I'm sure the Gaiman reading will be jam-packed, but I will try to elbow my way in and find you. :)
