Spent Satyrday as a nothing day, because there were no better ideas to be had. Got a wedding present for Not-Matt and Kate, and got penicillin for my tooth and a new nosepad for my sunglasses (polarised sunglasses _rock_. they are the coolest thing i have seen in ages), and then we sat down and watched the last four (out of five) episodes of _The 10th Kingdom_.
It was cute, I'm glad I saw it, and I'll probably watch it again at some point, but it wasn't great by any means. (It was a miniseries that NBC(?) did sometime early last year I think, about a fantasy world nextdoor to NYC where fairy tales came from. And it had Rutger Hauer and John Larroquette. It was also 7.5hrs long.)
I have not been such a bum in ages. It was nice.
Sunday we went and gamed... I got some more definition to my character (always a plus).
Today has been rather bleh. The RITboys haven't shown up yet, so Jeff and I are pretty much just bumming about, doing scutwork because it needs to be done. I do _not_ relish trying to write help files for this piece of %&$... when Mikayla suggested that Tom the RITboy have an interface-freeze next Monday so we can take screenshots for help, he invoked the Technicon Fallacy by saying CENSORED. Grr.

Polarized sunglasses..

Getting new sunglasses is a pain anyway, because normal ones don't fit around my head properly, and the ones that do won't sit right on my ears. I got lucky with this pair... it required minimal rebending.

Re: Polarized sunglasses..
seriously, though, contacts are in general a Good Thing, and you stop noticing the extra maintenance after a couple weeks.

And I've got a kick-ass pair of red sunglasses that were only $5 at Ragstock. Ah, ragstock, one of the jewels of the Midwest....
(And yes, I got this account just so I could post to your #$%%#@ journal. (Not Tucker's -- he didn't make me. He's nice.) Are you happy now?Hmm?)
*purr*!
That's why I originally made a journal, too--so I could post to Joanna's journal without it being anonymous.
And now I've posted 322 journal entries, 575 comments, and received 433. It'll suck you in, I tell ya.
As for glasses/contacts, yeah, I've been considering contacts for a good while now, and it's actually more of the "I think I look better with glasses, and so do some other people, particularly several girls I've talked to" than the maintenance issue..
