There's a trailer up at the Mirrormask site. Everyone should go watch it now.

Two days into my three-day stint at Virpack. I have thoughts rattling around in my head (such as "I get really arrogant when I'm testing software," "I still hate the idea of testing on a deadline," "Over half of these bugs will never be fixed," and "It's pleasant working with people who care whether I do a decent job") but they're not quite cohering well enough. If they don't stick together on their own by about this time tomorrow I shall have to acquire verbal glue. Regardless, two things are certain: 1) it's nice to be working with software that looks like it was neither designed by three college undergrads using whatever interface widget they learned in class that day nor accreted over ten years; and 2) I can still break stuff real good.

"I get really arrogant when I'm testing software."

Only natural, you're just adapting to the industry standard. I was quite shocked to eventually discover worlds where effusive compliments are required and constructive criticism never rises above the fine print. Mostly, the shock was realizing that Real Life (TM) was more their place than mine.

I agree about testing on a deadline. The main problem is that the desired result doesn't flow from the action; the more you test software, the less likely it is to ship with no known bugs on Tuesday. I'd say the cause is that the desired result is wrong, but that's me.
