On the bright side, the cast list for the live-action <a href="http://www.the-last-unicorn.net/welcome.htm"http://www.the-last-unicorn.net/welcome.htm">Last Unicorn</a> movie has been updated. Christopher Lee and Angela Lansbury are reprising their roles as Haggard and Mommy Fortuna. They've tapped Mia Farrow (who played Amalthea in the animated version) for Molly Grue. And they got JONATHAN FREAKIN' RHYS-MEYERS [Steerpike] to play Schmendrick. Score.

Anticipated release date December 2004. I am <i>so</i> there.

thanks. it means a lot when people really appreciate what i have to say, especially on topics like that -- you'd think it's universal, y'know? but people seem so caught up in gender roles they forget to be GOOD PEOPLE. like ed's comment: "Who knew that civilized behavior behooved both genders?" ;P ;]

i'm also glad that i chose to post my own lengthy, thought-out post instead of getting involved in andy's comment-fest -- i don't need to be beating my head against THAT brick wall. while it's awesome to watch amy and sarah pick him apart, i honestly don't want the constant stress of trying to win my point. i've made mine. it's there. i don't need to defend it or restate it elsewhere. [also that way i avoided several hours/days of being incensed/infuriated. ick.]

also, since high praise from me is "you don't suck!," being not-a-bloody-idiot delights me. :DDD

It's strange how interconnected the internet is. I knew skreidle a long long time before I ever became aware of rabbits...

Apparently [livejournal.com profile] skreidle is a friend of [livejournal.com profile] skinglist whom [livejournal.com profile] kittenchan and I got to know while spending a year in freakin' JAPAN. How's that for circular?

Last Unicorn: Yeah, but where are they going to find a horse with that short, round, unhorselike of a head? If the unicorn is shaped like a real creature, it's not as good...
