Monkeys attack Delhi politician, which is disturbing in itself, but the article goes on to say, "One approach has been to train bands of larger, more ferocious langur monkeys to go after the smaller groups of Rhesus macaques." From Robert Farley, who continues, "I can't see any problems at all with that plan." (The comments are also quite good.)

Other People's Money, a decent short story by Cory Doctorow made more notable by its publication venue.

I am slightly embarrassed that I didn't know Captain Sisko was going to be in Tamburlaine until [livejournal.com profile] matociquala told me. (Although I did know about Odo's appearance in a Molière at the end of the season.) Three cheers for [livejournal.com profile] qtrnca for finding cheap season tickets to the Shakespeare Theatre. Update: and we're going to see Tamburlaine on my birthday, too. Awesomeness.

Renfaire was primarily cool for the chance to see a large number of people in passing (including the amazing aerial antics and acrobatics of [livejournal.com profile] pictsy, and to stop by Kadon's booth. And to see Skum, of course. Other than that, eh. The shopping/browsing no longer holds the appeal for me that it once did. Still not sure if I'm interested in going back next year. I guess we'll see when it rolls around.

The rain's finally started up, for which I'm grateful.
