jazzfish: A small grey Totoro, turning around. (Totoro)
Preferably in good company.

At the AFI Silver:
  • The Seven Samurai: 5/28 (Memorial Day) at 8:00. Also possible: 5/30 (Wed) at 9:20.
  • Breakfast on Pluto (Cillian Murphy as an Irish transvestite): 6/2 (Satyrday) at 7:45.
  • The Seventh Seal ("In Swedish with English subtitles"): 6/6 (Wed) at 9:20. Also possible: 6/2 (Satyrday) at 12:30 or 10:30, but that overloads me with Pluto.
  • Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead: 6/23 (Satyrday) at 9:30, or 6/25 (Mon) or 6/27 (Wed) at 9:30.

Speaking of that last, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead is playing at the Studio Theatre (in DC, not Blacksburg) through 6/24. Definitely wanting to go see that. (Huh. I've seen that play live twice, at both Studio Theatres. Amusing.)

Also general vague desires for: camping and/or hiking; sitting around eating ice cream and/or drinking tea while conversing (easily combinable with any given film at the Silver except Shichinin no Samurai on Monday, as I will be racing to get there by eight and ice cream will likely be closed by the time it lets out); board gaming, perhaps to be scheduled at my place some Tuesday or Wednesday night in June; and generally being a touch more sociable than I managed in May.

Let me know if you're up for any and/or all of the above.

Awesomest car ever, a title formerly held by the three-door Saturn, the Mini Cooper, and the MG. I have seen a pair of smart fortwos in person at the Ultimate Garage in Rockville, and they really are just that cute. I shall attempt to test-drive one at the earliest opportunity. If they drive as awesomely as they look I may well be trading in Straylight next fall.

Just in case you were one of the people I neglected to send this to, Meta-LOL. The typical response has been a confused stare followed by the sound of a palm slapping a forehead.

Yeah. That sounds about right.
