I wasn't kidding; I've checked out an omnibus Chronicles of Narnia from work to tear through this week. (Mine are buried in a paperback-box; I'd rather read them but it's not worth the effort of digging them out.) Quite apart from the oddness of having to start not at the beginning of the book, there's been one curiousity already. (Google sez it was due to a Philosopher's Sorcerer-type change in earlier American editions and has been revised to fit with the British publication.) So, out of curiousity (and what's the point of having a paid account if you aren't going to use the features?):
