Happy day to [livejournal.com profile] sir_alf. It ain't the same here without youse. Come up and see us. (And yes, I did get the message about the porn monkeys.)

I am so smart. Seventy-four percent. Missed a few I should've known (whiskey and Carolingian) and a few I should've guessed better on (Checker Marathon, Rule of Eighteen), as well as several I just plain didn't know (like the clovis point). Doubtless people on my friendslist will now make me feel dumb again. :)

For those of you not getting enough /., we have the Slashdot Story Generator.

Glyndwr is now functional again. Well, as functional as it ever was. Still squeals horribly at times, still no light dinger.

So, Kill Bill. Pretty darn good. Lots of gratuitous limbs. Scenes with Buck made me twitch, a lot, but that was the point. I think my favorite scene is the fight with Vivica A. Fox. . . it worked for me, on a couple of levels. (The showdown with Lucy Liu also rocks, but then Lucy Liu rocks in general.)

Other than that, not much. Been rehearsing my scene, been doing classwork. Midterm season is basically over except for a story I have to write for Le Guin, due on Halloween. New John Cale album is out, but I've not gotten around to ordering it from amazon.co.uk yet. Running Changeling this afternoon in Squires, for the first time in months. Hoo boy. Life goes on.
