The Honorable Alex Kozinski is a Riot: "The parties are advised to chill."

Rock Paper Scissors Spock Lizard: "This version is also nice because it satisfies the Law of Fives."

Failed to force-add theatre classes, as the entire theatre department appears to have TAKEN THE DAY OFF yesterday. Grr. It's not like it's incredibly pressing, though; I don't have to have this done 'til fall. (I need to go ahead and get Script Analysis taken care of as soon as I can, though, as that's the one class I might not get into.)

Six long boxes and two plastic tubs of games. This is about two long boxes more than I'd expected. Everything takes up more boxes than I think it will. I'd forgotten how much I dislike packing. (Moving is okay, especially if it's a nice cloudy day with maybe just a bit of rain. Unfortunately the weather says 'Highs near 25' which is a bit much for me.) At least packing is mostly done... just need to throw a box or two of stuff together. (Which will probably turn into three or four. Bleh.)

It occurs to me that I should actually pay the property tax on Glyndwr, and maybe renew plates as well. And get inspected. I hate May.

Re Troubles, one of my oldest friends wrote "I hope things turn out okay, although I'm not sure what that would mean." This pretty well sums it up, I think.

Rutting

A single line in a comment to someone else's post spawned some rather rambling thoughts, and at some point I realised that they belonged in their own entry since they'd wandered rather far from the original topic.

Almost ready to move. In another few minutes Godot (my 'puter) will be once more severed from the network, and who knows when I'll be back online. I'll have sporadic email access for most of next week, and maybe cables will be run to the basement by the time I get back

To tide you over, I leave you with

History of the Internet: "World-Wide Web released by CERN. Group suggests someone invent a web browser so people can use it." (thanks [livejournal.com profile] jude)

Typing Monkeys Don't Write Shakespeare: "Eventually, monkeys Elmo, Gum, Heather, Holly, Mistletoe and Rowan produced five pages of text, composed primarily of the letter S. Later, the letters A, J, L and M crept in." (thanks [livejournal.com profile] ndkid)

And with that, I go. Goodnight Gracie.
