jazzfish: an evil-looking man in a purple hood (Lord Fomax)
Today is Friday, February 14, the Feast of St. Valentine.
Today in history:
On February 14, 1929, gangsters acting on orders from Al Capone gunned down six rival gang members, and an optometrist in the wrong place at the wrong time, in what became known as the "St. Valentine's Day Massacre."
Peace.

Dogbert on expressing your love: "Get a dead woodchuck and give it to him, with a card around its neck that reads 'Unlike this woodchuck, my love for you will never die.'"

---

His name was always Buddy
And he'd shrug and ask to stay
But she'd sigh like Twig the Wonder Kid
And turn her face away
She's uncertain if she likes him
But she knows she really loves him...

--David Bowie, "Drive-In Saturday"

In other news, impending war dims hope for peace.

So I'm running a Changeling game on Tuesdays. I'm split between being happy to be back in one of my favorite gaming universes and tearing my hair out over the boatloads of internal inconsistencies. Going back over all the books reminds me of all the things in the system that I don't like.
The toner cartridge for my printer finally (after about four years of me having the thing, plus however long [livejournal.com profile] vond had it) died on Tuesday while trying to print character sheets. So that was non-useful. It's replaced and seems to be doing alright, though.

Spent an exceptionally pleasant night Wednesday hanging out with [livejournal.com profile] uilos and [livejournal.com profile] nixve. I'd say I should stop going to bed at one but sleep is worth less than hanging out with fun people.

And now it's That Day. Lord, I hate February. The Romans had the right idea in trimming days off of it. (Of course, they added them in the heat of the summer, but in the immortal words of Yogi Berra, "Nobody's human.")
At least the bonus Zelda disc is in at the game store. So I can finally play The Macarena of Time, only about six years after everyone else.
