Jun. 28th, 2002 03:59 pmso, i finished shakespeare today. well, the first half of shakespeare. i'll have to take the second half some other time, though. wound up with an A- on my paper, which makes me happy. there's an outside chance that i might walk away from this class with an A. although given the essay questions today a B/B+ is far more likely.
i also finished Soul Reaver (again). it's still a bloody good game. a bit on the easy side (except for the %&$ jumping puzzles) but a lot of fun.
apparently there was quite a bit of game cut from it at the last minute. some of this is kind of evident from the game itself-- you only kill five of your six brothers, there's a whole area with nothing to do but wander around (and wave to the humans), and the ending doesn't scream "cliffhanger" so much as "we couldn't finish the game in time to make a proper ending." interestingly enough, they actually had a 'real' ending for the game, one that closed off all the loose ends (and left basically no chance for a sequel). this ending involved activating the Silenced Cathedral and destroying all the vampires (including, one imagines, yourself). instead, we've got this bloody time-travel thing going on. sounds like something similar happened with Soul Reaver 2, and it's another two-year wait for SR3.
